Join Ronnie Butler and Janina Edwards for four coaching/workout sessions focused on narrating
short-form non-fiction. This growing voice over arena includes articles (technical, popular, etc.), essays,
reviews, and opinion pieces. More and more commonly audio performances accompany written articles
in online newspapers and magazines. Learn the skills necessary to work in this expanding field.
The class core is performance/coaching, cultivating an intentional delivery, a sense of immediacy, and
intimate conversation. You’ll also learn about the different performance and workflow styles of the
three primary outlets producing this work: AUDM, Curio, and Voiceworks (Apple).
Participants are asked to perform scripts selected from the Workshop’s Google drive. These are actual
scripts from the big three. You will receive a link after registering.
Limit 12 narrators. During each session, 3 narrators will have an opportunity to receive 1:1 coaching for 20 minutes, allowing us to get through all 12 narrators over the 4 sessions. You will be able to sign up for a specific slot in advance and are encouraged to attend all 4 sessions
