"I love that... a) The caliber of coaching is the very best in the business as with all narrator.life offerings. It’s a given. b) The limit of 12 students to a class w/no audit option allows for an intimate setting that supports our deepest learning experience, builds trust ~ it feels safe to take risks. c) The 4 week continued class allows for time to digest lessons learned, return with questions and grow over time. d) Hearing each narrator read and work with the coach is invaluable and just as instructive as being at the mic myself. The mutually supportive precedent set by the coach and classmates in every single Open Studio I’ve taken supports our doing our best, most relaxed work. e) It’s the best deal in town."
Claudia Dunn
Narrator
"The open studio was wonderful. Vikas is so wonderful and it was worth every minute and penny. I thought the time was the right amount both weekly and work minutes allotted. I was delighted by the caliber of classmates."
Mia Hutchinson-Shaw
Narrator
"Andi guided me on customer management, and on calendar management. Choosing jobs. I took a breath, said 'No' more, and I've done a little more than half the volume this year – for the same kind of money. Andi, I am hugely grateful for your guidance and support."
Peter Noble
Narrator
"Thank you for answering all my questions and for so much fantastic information. I feel like I gained a HUGE amount from tonight, and I am so grateful for your time, insight and expertise."
Ella Lynch
Narrator
"Thank you very much for the opportunity to hear Anne Ganguzza and her insight and experience with the AI Voice world. I found it incredibly useful and she shared so much, in a nutshell, that was very generous."
Coralie Bywater
Narrator
"The coaching from all the previous weeks gelled in my head...Intimacy is always better - you're talking to one person right into their ear. When you believe, we believe."
Erin Grassie
Narrator
"The class was great. Everyone knows that Emily [Woo Zeller] is a great narrator. She's a great coach to. Lots of very clear insights and immediately actionable adjustments."
Debi Tinsley
Narrator
"I really enjoyed the class and am already applying what I've learned in the booth...What most struck me was the depth of questions you asked of the text - to really try to consider the intent of the scene, what the author is trying to convey, and connecting."
Terrence Kidd
Narrator
"This was my first time being coached by Hillary [Huber]. She is terrific! Her notes were direct, succinct and she also kept the sessions fun. I hope to book her for some individual sessions. Also, I LOVED that she brought in authors. As a group, we narrators can be so myopic. Understanding that the casting process on the author’s side can vary widely by publisher is important info. And the writers also had different viewpoints on the process itself - which - maybe we should know that, but it is still good to register that, to really HEAR that, from them."
Suzanne Barbetta
Narrator
"Ron [Butler] & Janina [Edwards] were generous with their knowledge and guidance. 12 students felt like the right size class. I felt I received more one-on-one time than I typically do during classes/webinars. The direction was very helpful."
Anna Crowe
Narrator
"I thoroughly enjoyed [Andi Arndt’s] workshop, and found it very helpful. I walked away with a few more tools in my narrator toolbox, and I would do this again."
Shiloh Woodard
Narrator
"I had a wonderful experience during this workshop and hope to participate in classes with Andi in the future... She's phenomenal and her advice is priceless!"
Amber Dekkers
Narrator
"Fantastic first session! Already have some very tangible tools to begin applying to my work this week. Inspired and energized by January [LaVoy]'s so firmly grounding the work in physicality...narrator.Life is truly a community service."
Claudia Dunn
Narrator
"I loved both classes. I love their intuition, guidance, thoughtfulness, vulnerability and general sharing of ideas and experience. This is my second class with the two of them and I would take another one."
Rebecca Avery
Narrator
"I really enjoyed this class!!! I love the energy Andi sets at the top - very open, non judgemental, curious, exploratory. I learned so much through watching and listening... Andi is a true teacher :)"
Rebecca Avery
Narrator
"Hillary [Huber] created such a safe little pod for us to learn in. She made me feel as if I were performing for myself, rather than performing for her or anyone else... I appreciated so much that I could just settle into my body and play."
Emily Shaver
Narrator
"The Open Studio on Sci-Fi/Fantasy was more than I could have ever asked for! This was only my second time joining in on a session, and I learned so much. Vikas Adam is a talented, beautiful human being...what I learned will stay with me forever."
Ri Paige
Narrator
"Thanks for the fab session yesterday (including fairy dust)... It's like you have some magic fairy dust that grants wishes!!"
Deborah Wade
Narrator
"Outcome for 2020: This calendar year, I am on my 25th book...and I've made the same kind of money as last year. On less than half the number of books! And that is a direct result of your coaching."
Peter Noble
Narrator
"Andi is an ideal coach for audiobook narration: she is compassionate, experienced, and great at explaining the technical details of the work."
Cameron Meyer

"Hello Fellow Narrators! I just want to tell you what a difference Launching New Narrators has made to my Narrator and Voiceover career. Ms. Richardson's precise, constructive and fun guidance has helped me at every stage of my journey - from studio set up, to organization of files, to execution of multiple projects. Since beginning the program less than 2 years ago, I have been contracted for multiple audio books, and over a dozen voiceover assignments - in some cases voicing as many as 30 characters with ease. So trust me when I say, "The program is a definite must for any voice artist!"
Anne Pasquale
Narrator
"I've noticed a shift of being worried that my voice isn't "perfect" to being open to playing with my voice. Not, like, weird voices, but playing with where it comes from, taking note how it feels when I make small adjustments, and enjoying that exploration, rather than aiming for a specific sound. It's freeing!"
Narration Student
"I wrote down in my book that the "goal is to release tension and be less emotionally protective in order to free the breath." This is definitely something I'll have to continuously work at, as I am a very guarded person and vulnerability is not my fave. But in the case of narration, vulnerability is my friend and this class has taught me how to not only tap into that, but also embrace it."
Narration Student
"Visualizing all the systems has helped me so much! Whereas before I felt constricted, now I have a long tongue and cavernous breath. My head floats and energy flows up through my feet. The last two classes, when I'd speak, it was like my voice was coming from the depths of a bottomless pit and traveling easily past my lips. It frightened me a little, actually, because I've never had a powerful voice, and here it was rushing through, strong and free."
Narration Student
"Emily Zoo has been one of our top Directors for the past few years. In addition to being a star narrator in her own right, she has directed author and celebrity books with us, and is equally adept at working with experienced narrators and those who are new to the audiobook form. She excels at helping narrators deliver on the promise of the book."
Amy Rubinate
Owner, Mosaic Audio
"I felt kind of silly doing the exercises at first, but with the camera off, I just went for it. I love the stretches and the breathing exercises. I felt so relaxed afterwards and sometimes, I'd catch myself looking at the time because I'd feel so open and free that I was raring to narrate something NOW. "
